ABOUT ME
Justine Navid Mufson, M.A., CCC-SLP is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Justine earned a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
It’s easy to see Justine’s passion and excitement for pediatric speech pathology. Her love for working with the pediatric population began with a background working as a behavioral therapist and infant stimulation therapist with children with a variety of needs. As a speech-language pathologist, Justine evaluates and treats children with a wide range of disorders including: CAS-Childhood Apraxia of speech, Autism, developmental delays, orofacial myology, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, phonological/articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, social pragmatic disorders, brain injury, cognitive-linguistic deficits, feeding aversions, dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and dysarthria.
Justine believes that therapy should be enjoyable, and a place where development and progress are facilitated through fun, engaging and meaningful learning opportunities. By collaborating with professionals from other disciplines, Justine strives to provide the most comprehensive treatment through a personalized approach. She puts family-centered care at the forefront of her practice, knowing that parent involvement is integral to success in treatment.
